CABERNET FRANC - SYRAH

The Cabernet Franc is original of Saint Emilion in Bordeaux. In the red wines it is a great partner of the Cabernet Sauvignon, where brings vigor and complexity but sweeter tannins. When processed in rosé we obtain a very smooth and delicate wine. The Syrah is a mystic grape from ancient times and uncertain origin. Perhaps coming from the Persian city of Schiraz in Iran or from Siracusa (Sicily). There are many stories about the ancient origin of this variety related to the similarities with the names Sirac, Syra, Sirah and Syrac. Traditionally found in France, in the North of the Rhone Valley, and in the New World through the Australian version where it is grown as an emblematic variety. In Uruguay, there are not many hectares cultivated, but this grape is showing that is perfectly adapted to our soils and climate, producing wines with unique personality. Blended with Cabernet Franc is a perfect marriage for this rosé.
